In this guide, KEYDIY KD-X4 is used together with a BDC2 test platform and adapter to perform BMW BDC2 key duplication.

After loading the previously saved vehicle data files, the KD-X4 key programmer converts and processes the security information required for key generation.
The software then enters the dealer key generation stage, where users can select an available key position and create a new dealer key based on the vehicle’s immobilizer data.
During this process, the system may consume service points as required for key generation.
A new blank key is then placed into the programming area, and the KD-X4 automatically writes the necessary data to create a usable BMW dealer key.
Key Learning and Verification
The newly generated key is synchronized with the vehicle system, allowing the immobilizer and remote-control functions to operate correctly.
After programming is complete, test the key’s lock, unlock, and vehicle-start functions to verify successful duplication.
